The More a “Woman’s Choice” is Upheld the More Lucrative the Industry
Ed note: The law is meant to put forth the “fundamental right” to abortion and end protections for babies in the womb up to birth. The New York State legislature has put in place one of the most radical abortion laws in the United States following a vote in both chambers on Tuesday, January 22, 2018. The first question that comes to mind is how will these babies that are aborted at say a week before their due date be disposed? Where are the laws that will have oversight on disposal and who will have access to any aborted babies in the event the baby survives the procedure? Contrary to what the abortion industry would like the public to think, after-birth “abortions” are a very real and a common occurrence. After-birth murders and partial-birth abortions present far fewer opportunities for personal injury lawsuits for abortionists. It’s almost as if Planned Parenthood is running a “black market” on abortions.
There were 218 abortion-providing facilities in New York in 2014, and 95 of these were clinics providing abortions. New York does not have any of the major types of abortion restrictions. Restrictions would mean waiting periods, mandated parental involvement or limitations on publicly funded abortion that are often found in other US states. In 2016, there were a recorded 87,325 abortions that took place in New York. Based on an average of 80,000 abortions a year that take place in New York, that is roughly 1 million abortions over a 10-12 year period.
Updated February 1, 2019 with this recent news:
In the final analysis, it is not about a “woman’s right to chose”. Abortion in America is a huge business pulling in over approximately $1 billion in revenue every year. But to maintain this business model abortion has to be made out to be solely a “woman’s choice”, fine, no one is arguing about choice, what is being argued is this business model. Think of Planned Parenthood protecting their racket just as professional football and baseball corporations in the US employ ex-FBI and ex-CIA types to protect their professional sports racket. Then there is the after market for aborted babies sold to biotech companies for “research.”
Abortion procedures account for roughly 29 percent of Planned Parenthood’s clinic revenue. And despite the decline in the overall population in America, Planned Parenthood’s yearly abortion numbers have increased each year since 1994. So you see, it is not about a “woman’s choice”, it is about maintaining a lucrative income stream. While abortion costs vary from state-to-state, the national average for a surgical abortion in the first trimester is around $500. Rates increase and depending on how far along the pregnancy is women can be expected to pay up to $2,000 during the second trimester. Multiply some averages there by 80,000 abortions a year in New York and we’re talking about some serious revenue here.
“The giant cash cow in the abortion business, Planned Parenthood grosses (as of 2012 stats) about $320 million per year, 51% ($164,154,000.00) from abortion services. To top that off, taxpayers wittingly or not, contribute another $542 million to the coffers as of 2012.”
Perhaps it is time for some serious self-reflection since anyone can do an abortion now and does not require doctor. Something else to consider is that it does not require witnesses at an abortion so who is to say where a baby might go should it survive an “abortion”:
We highly recommend readers go through this linked material to see how Planned Parenthood targets what they call “fake abortion clinics” in New York they consider interlopers to their business model compromising their profits. These “fake abortion clinics” (crisis pregnancy centers) Planned Parenthood targets are actually clinics set up to dissuade women from having abortions. It’ a lobbying organization under the rubric of “social welfare” with a 2017 budget of $8,611,434.
It’s New York alright…can we not see the disparity between New York and the rest of America?
Yeah Frank, sing it…New York doesn’t sleep, so “start spreadin’ the news” Frank, they do abortions…
