On Sept. 11, 2001, most of the world’s airport managers were at a convention in Montreal. The Airports Council International represents virtually all airports in the world and all member airport managers were at the conference.

I was the chair of the Canadian Airports Council, the association of all Canadian airports. At 8: 30 a.m. on the 11th I was on the stage of the Palais de Congrès de Montréal introducing the then minister of transport, David Collenette, who was to address the convention on the importance of aviation. Part way through his speech, I noticed that there was an increase in the number of journalists in the hall.

The then associate deputy minister of transport, Louis Ranger, sent me a note stating that aircraft had struck the World Trade Center and to try and end the minister’s speech. We waited until the end of the speech, when the minister left the stage without taking questions. The minister and his staff immediately left by car for Ottawa.

An announcement was made and everyone gathered by two large television screens and watched in shock the events unfold. Standing next to me was the president of Airports Council – North America. We were watching the screens when one of the towers came down. He was the former director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. His former office and former employees, people that he had worked with for years, were housed in that tower.

The emotions were overwhelming. The port authority lost 84 of its employees that day.

We then heard that the Pentagon had been struck and that an aircraft had gone down in Pennsylvania. It was now beyond a doubt this was a co-ordinated attack. People were attempting to call their airports and to make alternate flight arrangements to get back to their airports when word came that North American airspace was being shut down.

Everyone was now stranded, most for days, until the airspace reopened. To manage the crisis, rooms were set up at the Palais, regrouping areas geographically: the European, Asia Pacific, and North Americans.

I was one of the lucky ones able to get back within a couple of hours. My team had set up a command centre at the airport. The rest of the day was taken up with co-ordinating with Transport Canada, DND, the police, other agencies and airlines.

Apparently speaking in his second audio broadcast of the month, Bin Laden criticised George W Bush, the former US president, for not signing the Kyoto Protocol on regulating carbon emissions, and spoke out against excessive corporate influence in the United States.

He also presented himself as an opponent of government bail outs to western banks, whose speculation and unfair competition practices, he claimed, were largely to blame for the global financial crisis.

“When those perpetrators fall victims to the evil they have created, the heads of state rush to rescue them using public money,” he said.
It was one of the al-Qaeda chief’s more unusual messages, doubly so as he largely eschewed references to religion and violence.
Demonstrating a surprising concern for the environment, Bin Laden voiced his dismay at recent international efforts to tackle global warming.

Setting out his ideas for financial recovery in a message apparently timed to coincide with the World Economic Forum in Davos, Bin Laden echoed Russian calls for an end to international reliance on the US dollar.

The terror chief also appeared to reveal himself to be a reader of the Guardian when he quoted from an interview with Noam Chomsky, the liberal linguistics professor, which appeared in the newspaper in November.

“Chomsky was right when he pointed to a resemblance between American policies and the approach of mafia gangs,” he said. “Those are the real terrorists.” Western intelligence has yet to verify the authenticity of the recording, which was broadcast on al-Jazeera television, but independent experts said the voice on it appeared to be Bin Laden’s.”

United Airlines Flight 23, a Boeing 767 bound from JFK International Airport in New York to Los Angeles, cancels its takeoff and may thus avoid becoming the morning’s fifth hijacked plane. It was scheduled to depart at 8:30 a.m., but was late in pushing back from the gate and is still waiting in line to take off. [ASSOCIATED PRESS, 9/13/2001; NEW YORK TIMES, 10/20/2001] The plane’s pilots, Tom Mannello and Carol Timmons, have heard a report over their radio that a plane has flown into the World Trade Center. They then receive a text message from United Airlines dispatcher Ed Ballinger, which reportedly states: “We have gone to heightened security. Do not open cockpit doors. Secure the cockpit.”[SPENCER, 2008, PP. 102-103] This is presumably the message Ballinger sent out at 9:19 (see 9:19 a.m. September 11, 2001), though it seems to be more like a description of the message he sends out at 9:32 (see 9:32 a.m.-9:33 a.m. September 11, 2001). Pilots Alarmed at Warning – Having never received a warning like this before, the pilots are alarmed. Timmons starts barricading the cockpit door with their suitcases while Mannello grabs the crash ax for protection. Mannello calls the plane’s lead flight attendant to inform her of the threat, and tells her not to open the cockpit door under any circumstances. Soon afterwards, she calls back and informs him: “We [the plane’s flight attendants] just think you should know this because we think it is unusual. We have four young Arab men sitting in first class this morning.”

[SPENCER, 2008, PP. 103] (Other accounts will claim there are three or even six suspicious passengers on the flight. [ASSOCIATED PRESS, 9/13/2001; CHICAGO DAILY HERALD, 4/14/2004] ) Mannello hasn’t been told what the reported threat is about or if it relates to Arabs, so simply thanks the attendant for the information. Minutes later, the pilots receive a radio message from ground control, announcing, “All aircraft, be advised that the airport is now closed.” A subsequent message announces the airport is being evacuated. Mannello decides to move his aircraft back to the terminal. [SPENCER, 2008, PP. 103-104]

Arab Passengers Become Aggressive – After the passengers are told their flight has been canceled, the Arab men become upset. They stand up and start urgently consulting with each other, and then refuse to return to their seats.[ASSOCIATED PRESS, 9/13/2001; NEW YORK TIMES, 10/20/2001] One official will later describe: “These guys got belligerent, and said something like, ‘We’ve got to be on this plane.’ They expressed a desire to remain on the plane and resisted getting off.” [NEW YORK TIMES, 9/14/2001] According to the Associated Press, “The argument with a member of the flight crew became so heated that the crew member called airport security. But before security arrived, the men had vanished.” [ASSOCIATED PRESS, 9/13/2001]
Evidence Indicates Plans for Hijacking Plane – Authorities will later check the men’s unclaimed baggage and find box-cutters, copies of the Koran, and al-Qaeda instruction sheets. [CHICAGO DAILY HERALD, 4/14/2004; SPENCER, 2008, PP. 105] In 2002, apparently referring to this incident, Lieutenant General Ken Pennie, the deputy commander of NORAD, will state, “We suspect there might have been more than just the four aircraft involved” as targets for the 9/11 attacks.[GLOBE AND MAIL, 6/13/2002] The FBI will investigate this incident and go through the flight manifest to determine the names of the Arab men, who are believed to have had ticketed reservations. [ASSOCIATED PRESS, 9/13/2001; NEW YORK TIMES, 9/14/2001] Investigators will interview the plane’s crew nearly half a dozen times. But no information about the suspicious Arab passengers is ever released to the public.

[SPENCER, 2008, PP. 105] On September 14, it is reported that investigators believe at least one of these passengers was among a number of individuals taken into custody at JFK and La Guardia Airports the previous day (see September 13-14, 2001). [NEW YORK TIMES, 9/14/2001] However, these detained individuals are soon cleared of any connection with the events of 9/11 and are released. [ASSOCIATED PRESS, 9/14/2001] In 2004, Representative Mark Kirk (R-IL) will say the suspicious Flight 23 passengers were never found and are likely still at large. [CHICAGO DAILY HERALD, 4/14/2004]

“Potential Air Traffic Management CO2 and Fuel Efficiency Performance Metrics for General ANSP Use …. The CANSO group strongly supports the measuring of trajectory inefficiencies that incorporate the horizontal and vertical trajectory throughout the flight, as a means of determining opportunities to improve fuel efficiency. In addition, taxi delays can be measured using the Airline Service Quality Performance (ASQP) data set that contains the scheduled and actual pushback times, actual take-off time, actual landing time, and scheduled and actual gate arrival times. This is often referred to as ‘Out, Off, On, In’ (OOOI) data. When available, airport surveillance data can also be used to measure taxi delays. This phase of flight method using radar data has been used in the U.S/Europe Operational Performance Comparison report mentioned above. Attachment 1 provided a comprehensive guide for estimating ATM efficiency pools by phase of flight. NATS has also developed, with peer review from the M&M group and others in the aviation industry, a metric that seeks to reflect the vertical and horizontal inefficiencies in flights. This is a proxy for CO2 as smoother vertical and more direct lateral profiles deliver fuel burn and emissions reductions compared to stepped climbs, descents and deviations from lateral point to point tracks. The NATS metric is called the 3 Dimensional Inefficiency (3Di) Score. Eurocontrol Performance Review Unit (PRU), FAA and Airservices Australia are also considering the use of vertical and lateral elements of flight profiles in their flight efficiency work. The NATS 3Di method was recently approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as a method to set targets and financially incentivise improved fuel efficiency in NATS airspace and is described in detail in Attachment 2. Key Consensus Point: A measure of ANSP CO2 and fuel burn performance should take account of both vertical and horizontal elements of flight The M&M subgroup promotes a structured approach to measuring trajectory efficiency by identifying vertical and horizontal (or time) inefficiencies. The key to the success of this approach is ANSPs having access to trajectory data for flights in their airspace. In most cases ANSPs must work with their neighbours to share trajectory data and focus on optimising cross border efficiencies. CANSO recommends that the sharing of post-operational data is a good first step in the fuel efficiency improvement process. Analysis of efficiency by phase of flight improves the understanding of how to make improvements.”

Why did HSBC decide to go carbon neutral?

HSBC believes that climate change represents the largest single environmental challenge this century. Earlier this year, HSBC was involved with the launch of The Climate Group and the Carbon Disclosure Project. At that time, we made our views on climate change public. We have now announced the next phase of our response to climate change, the HSBC Carbon Management Plan, on the opening day of the 10th Conference of the Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

How will HSBC achieve this?

The Carbon Management Plan lays out HSBC’s plans to reduce the Group’s contribution to climate change through three different approaches: energy efficiency to reduce our energy use; buying ‘green’ electricity where possible; and offsetting our remaining carbon dioxide emissions.
How will HSBC ensure that offset projects are truly beneficial?

HSBC is establishing a Carbon Management Task Force to oversee the process of finding suitable credible, genuinely incremental and cost-effective offsets. The Task Force is sponsored by the Group Chief Executive and will include 5 HSBC employees and two external partners: The Climate Group and ICF Consulting. When we are confident we can make good decisions on how best to offset our {CO2} emissions we will make an announcement.

What are the key things banks can do to minimise their carbon footprints?

Energy efficiency in property management is a good place to start. Reducing business travel can yield real benefits, but is difficult to achieve in a rapidly growing business. We believe that credible carbon offsets are the way forward, once energy efficiency gains have been maximised.

So where was Warren Buffett the morning of 9/11 and what was he doing?

On the morning of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on America, before the attack commenced, the world’s second most wealthy man was already at the U.S. Strategic Command headquarters where G.W. Bush flew later that day for “safety.” As the attack began, Anne Tatlock was already en route to this same location. She arrived at the base to join Buffet in time to watch the second plane make a direct hit on the tower precisely where her office complex was located.

Mr. Buffett was reportedly at his home in Omaha, Nebraska watching TV when he heard about the terrorist attacks. He was getting ready to host his “last annual golf charity event” which just happened to be at the U.S. Strategic Command headquarters located at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha.

Also on the morning on 9/11, a small group of top financial CEO’s with offices in the WTC, were flown to the nerve center of U.S. air defenses, for the “Charity Classic” golf event (fund raiser benefit for youth groups).

Look at the luck of Ann Tatlock, the CEO of Fiduciary Trust Co. International mentioned previously. Now what made Mrs. Tatlock such a lucky person for being invited to this charity event that morning? Mrs. Tatlock not only works in the World Trade Center, but her offices were right where Flight 175 crashed into the South WTC Tower. Fiduciary Trust just so happened to be running an emergency drill on 9/11. Fiduciary Trust is also the company of Scott Forbes, the key eyewitness to the power-down of the South Tower.

Tatlock was escorted by military officers to an officer’s lounge at Offut AFB that had a TV to watch it happen.


►President Bush didn’t fly back to Washington D.C. due to a very strange threat against Air Force One but flew to Barksdale AFB and then was enroute at 2.50 p.m. to Offutt Air Force Base.

►3:07 p.m. – Bush arrives at U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska

► The United States Strategic Command, or USSTRATCOM, is headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.

Oddly enough, a NetJets executive company jet was “tracking” Flight 93 when it crashed in an open field in Shanksville, PA. The NetJets-Flight 93 connection is only the strongest evidence of Warren Buffett keeping 9/11 under watch. For example, Berkshire Hathaway owned FlightSafety International (Which Columbine killer Eric Harris’ father works for)..FlightSafety International trained alleged 9/11 hijacker Al Omari, along with two others who are connected to the case.Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which is linked to the government, FlightSafety, and NetJets (That’s two of Warren Buffett’s companies!) trained Waleed Al-Shehri.



So, Warren Buffett was using the headquarters of the Offutt AFB United States Strategic Command as party central at the time when it was supposed to be participating in a large scale military wargame called ‘Global Guardian’. Is it any coincidence that this is also the base that Bush would land at 3:07?

At least one CEO from the World Trade Center was invited, Anne Tatlock. She worked for Fiduciary Trust, which just so happened to be running an emergency drill on 9/11. Fiduciary Trust is also the company of Scott Forbes, the key eyewitness to the power-down of the South Tower.

One of the plane’s that hit one of the World Trade Center tower’s hit her office. And she is the only known CEO at the World Trade Center to be invited.

Not only did Scott Forbes come from it, and not only was it running an emergency drill on 9/11, but it was also the company that Thomas Kean worked as a director of. Thomas Kean would later on become one of the head’s of the 9/11 Commission.

Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway company became General Dynamics’ largest share-holder with its purchase of $4.35 million shares,or 14.1% of G.D. Buffet was credited with “saving” Salomon Brothers, the speculator Corporation whose descendant Salomon Smith Barney was the tenant on 36 of World Trade Center Building 7’s 47 neatly imploded floors.


Reporting on the investigation, the news website Great Game India observed last week that for years, “when banks have been caught laundering drug money, they have claimed that they did not know, that they were but victims of sneaky drug dealers and a few corrupt employees.”

‘A criminal organization’

Cruz began working at HSBC on Jan. 14, 2008, as a commercial bank accounts relationship manager, and was terminated for “poor job performance” on Feb. 17, 2010, after he refused to stop investigating the HSBC criminal money-laundering scheme from within the bank.

Cruz worked in the HSBC southern New York region, which accounts for approximately 50 percent of HSBC’s North American revenue. He was assigned to work with several branch managers to identify accounts to which HSBC might introduce additional banking services.
